Thank goodness for that old David Letterman joke. It helps make this post a little lighter.

Earlier today, according to 60 Minutes Sports:
The reported (head) of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency told (a) show representative for Oprah that Armstrong offered the agency a “donation” in excess of $150,000 several years before an investigation by the organization led to the loss of Armstrong’s Tour de France titles.
Nothing disgusted me more last October than reading about Lance Armstrong and his fall from grace in the biking world.
I never liked the guy. His ego was off the charts. I felt he was patently disingenuous. So when the news hit, I closely watched (with a bit of delight) as he crumbled hard from his ill-gotten pedestal.
