“41 Pianos” – Pan Am Games Documentary – Funding Promo

“41 Pianos” Feature Documentary – Completion Funding Promo

“Play Me, I’m Yours Piano” is an international piano Installation by Luke Jerram which has traveled all around the world.

In the Summer of 2012, 41 Pianos, representing 41 Pan American Countries, were designed by 41 artists and installed in 41 locations around the Greater Toronto, Canada Area.

In 2012, we had an opportunity to shoot a documentary based on this installation throughout the City of Toronto, Canada. Our film crew with a local well known composer, piano player challenged themselves to play AND film all of the 41 Pianos. Day or Night. Rain or Shine.

Sometimes an arduous task. Many of the pianos were damaged, removed, or missing keys. But, in the end, our film team completed the challenge with entertaining results. Now we need your help. We need ‘Completion Funding’ and funding to create Awareness and Marketing for our Film which will hopefully see it’s Premiere the week before or during the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Games July 10-26.

Oscar News :: How Nominated Directors Brought Their Films to Life

Even though there’s still snow on my terrace from two days of winter’s last gasp, I wish you all a very Happy 1st Day of Spring.

I was reading a few blogs this morning and came across an article from AwardsLine.com, a site I visited for the first time today. I almost didn’t read it due to the landing page style. Then I realized it was a feature site dedicated to this years Oscars. When you click through you’ll find some interesting Q&A’s with key creative directors, producers and stars such as: Anthony Hopkins, Hugh Jackman, Grant Heslov and Kathleen Kennedy from this years 85th Annual Academy Award® nominated films.

The article was a snapshot of how the nominated directors envisioned their ideas, but more so, some of the hoops they had to go through to bring their film to life.

Latest Screenplay News for Shannonn Kelly

One of our favorite “indie” screenwriters Shannonn Kelly is trying to finish 3 feature scripts before the end of 2012. That’s a big challenge she’s given herself, but we want to cheer her on. Here’s some latest feedback on “He Wore Blue” a modern suspenseful crime drama.

We asked Shannonn a question.

Q: What was your inspiration for this latest feature script “He Wore Blue”?

A: “I have some pretty awesomely talented FaceBook friends. Among them, two in particular are well known actors. I wanted to see them both in a film together, so I wrote a script for them.

Often, I’m inspired by an actor or an acting performance which compels me to write a script specifically for them. Those scripts generally get written quicker because the inspiration of their talent pushes me to completion faster than a script I have to do a lot of research on.”

Featured Screenwriter :: Dustin Lance Black

Dustin Lance Black - Say NO to Prop 8

On February 22, 2009, screenwriter Dustin Lance Black won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for “Milk” at the 81st Annual Academy Awards.

He wore a White Knot to the ceremony as a symbol of solidarity with the marriage equality movement. In his acceptance speech at the Oscar ceremony, he said:

“ … When I was thirteen years old my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas to California and I heard the story of Harvey Milk and it gave me hope. It gave me the hope to live my life, it gave me the hope to one day I could live my life openly as who I am, and that maybe even I could fall in love and one day get married.

I want to thank my mom, who has always loved me for who I am even when there was pressure not to. Continue reading “Featured Screenwriter :: Dustin Lance Black”
